About Me
In the past several years, Cari has orchestrated the Thane of Cawdor's demise, hunted Jack the Ripper, butled in a Play that went Wrong, and pirated on the waters off the coast of Boston, among other theatrical adventures. Cari's 14 years of classical dance training often comes in handy onstage, as does her recent SAFD certification in stage combat.
By night an avid thespian, by day Cari is an English professor. She particularly enjoys teaching and studying fairy tales, adaptations across American media, and how stage combat contributes to narratives.

Fight Director Training Workshop
Cohort Member, March 2026
I am so honored and delighted to share that I was selected to participate in the 2026 FDTW this year! The program is designed to help early and mid-career fight directors explore their craft more deeply, and to help us network and begin conversations with each other. I learned so much, and I highly recommend it to anyone thinking about pursing stage combat design!
